In the summers of 2009 and 2010, I interned in the curatorial department of The Paley Center for Media in New York City.
In addition to working with the museum’s databases and conducting research I was able to contribute significantly to the content that was showcased on their webpage, in a section called, Perspectives on Media.
Anticipating the release of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1,
I created an interactive poll, asking visitors to the Paley Center site, Which TV High School Would Be The LAST Place You Would Want To Attend? I drafted a list of the contenders and explained what made each institution of learning so terrifying and chose the accompanying video clips. Buffy Summers’ alma mater, Sunnydale High took it by a landslide.
Curator David Bushman and I generated the TV Sleuth Smackdown, pitting television’s top crime solvers against one another to see who in viewers minds was at the level of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s creation Sherlock Holmes.
